ManMate Dinners for 8 is a personalized service
that utilizes dinner parties for eight at New York
City's finest restaurants in conjunction with
one-on-one introductions to bring together gay men
based on compatibility, interests and relationship
goals. We are the only totally gay owned and
operated personalized introduction service in New York City.

Q: How does the introduction process work?

We schedule a one-on-one interview in our office at your convenience. Meeting with you face to face is the best way to get to know you and understand your requirements. We only want to seat you at dinner parties where you will meet your most compatible men.

Q: How can I join?

Joining is easy! Simply fill out and submit our online application or call us at 212-564-4025. We’ll be happy to answer any questions that you may have and schedule a convenient appointment for an in-person interview.

Q: How do you use my photograph?

We use your photo for internal purposes only to help us make decisions in the dinner party planning process and to help our host identify you when you arrive at the restaurant.

Q: When are the dinners?

Our dinners are held on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

Q: Will I know who I am dining with beforehand?

Yes. We contact you 2-3 weeks prior to the event to give you an opportunity to "opt in" or "opt out" of any party that we arrange for you. The week before, we contact you with the name and address of the restaurant and the first names and last initial of the men who will be attending. If someone's name looks familiar, call us.

Q: When I go to the restaurant, will there be a fixed or limited menu?

No. You order directly from the restaurant's regular menu.

Q: How do I pay for my meal at the restaurant?

Each person receives a separate check. If you decide to share something with one or more of the party, your server will be happy to divide the cost over the checks of each person who shared.

Q: Is the tip included in the cost of my meal?

Yes. In order to accommodate separate checks, a 20% gratuity will be added automatically to each individual's total.

Q: What happens if I meet someone at dinner that I'd like to see again?

You can exchange names and phone numbers during the evening, or you can call ManMate Dinners for 8 and we will request the information for you. With his permission, we will give you his contact info.

Q: What if I need to cancel a confirmed dinner reservation?

If even one member of the party does not attend, it changes the environment for the men who do. If a client cancels or does not attend a scheduled dinner with less than 72 hours notice, it counts toward the number of dinners for which they have contracted.
